Too Cute For Words

in #landscapephotography8 years ago (edited)

This photo was taken about 50M short of the summit of Mt Chacaltaya in Bolivia (5,421M or 17,785 ft).

When we first arrived at the old research centre, now a kind of base camp, he came running out to meet us, at which point I shared with him some of my Pringles and made a new best friend.

He followed me all the way up to about 50M short of the summit, before turning around and heading back. At this elevation, I was gasping for air, needing to take a short rest every 2 -3 steps and then a 5 min break every 10 steps, all along, this little guy was running up and down, and around and around like it was no big deal at all.

Yours truly, admiring the view from the top

I will be uploading daily, within the next 2 weeks, my favourite pics from Ollantaytambo, Sacsayhuaman, The Sacred Valley, Lake Titicaca and The Amazon, so be sure to follow me if you want to see them.

Peace.

This is (just) cute enough for words, as you managed to actually add a story to it. That picture is beautiful and this mountain dog anecdote is inspirational and makes me feel like being there too.

Keep sharing these photo stories. It's the words behind the pictures that makes them (really) unique.

Saludos,

Vincent

Thanks man. As I am posting these with mostly photography tags, I was wondering if anyone was actually reading my anecdotes. Thanks for the support :)

I understand. No matter how visually oriented I am, I am always interested in stories. And yes, tagging is hard but feel free to add a tag like 'travel' too next time.

Thanks man, I have taken your advice on board with my later posts :)

The dog photo is just amazing, the mountains and the little cyan lake in the background.

Bolivia is a beautiful country Kurt. It's a pity I only had one week there. I'm sure there will be many more trips there though, once I'm living in Peru :)

Great photos mate that must have been some great experience up that high.

Cheers bro, I have a few Amazon shots of bugs and butterflies, or flutterbys as I like to call them, seeing as that's what they do :p
Coming soon lol.

Can't wait to see those.

I love these, thank you for sharing <3

Thank you for your kind words of encouragement. I have posted more shots of that same adventure since, you may wish to check them out too?
Peace.
