Landscape - A Trip to the Atherton Tablelands

As far as the eye can see

In 2016 we we did a trip from the sunshine coast to the Cape Tribulation far north in Queensland, australia. On the way back we visited the Atherton Tablelands

Im Jahr 2016 machten wir eine Reise von der Sunshine Coast zum Cape Tribulation im hohen Norden von Queensland, Australien. Auf dem Rückweg besuchten wir die Atherton Tablelands

The Atherton Tablelands is a highland near Cairns in the north of Queensland and part of the Grerat Dividing Range

It´s famous for it´s many waterfalls from which I unfortunately lost nearly all photos. One of thes emany Waterfalls is Milla Milla Falls known from a Herbal Essences advertising.

Das Atherton Tablelands ist ein Hochland in der Nähe von Cairns im Norden von Queensland und Teil der Great Dividing Range

Es ist berühmt für seine vielen Wasserfälle, von denen ich leider fast alle Fotos verloren habe. Einer dieser Wasserfälle sind die Milla Milla Falls bekannt aus einer Herbal Essence Werbung.

Apart from visiting nearly every of the 10 Waterfalls on the way we did a lot of hiking through forests and along creeks. It also is a good region to spot one of the rare and hard to find Platypus.

We´ve seen a lot of wildlife but until today we haven´t seen a Platypus

Neben dem Besuch von fast allen 10 Wasserfällen auf dem Weg haben wir viele Wanderungen durch Wälder und entlang von Bächen unternommen. Es ist auch eine gute Region, um eines der seltenen und schwer zu finden Platypus zu entdecken.

Wir haben viele Wildtiere gesehen, aber bis heute haben wir noch kein Platypus gesehen.

One thing we really love when traveling in a campervan is, not to know where you will spend the next night. So we have spent some nights at really cool places and sometimes had to share the space with pretty uncommon travelers.

For example with a big truck full of livestock. Was a little bit noisy and smelly that night! 😂

Eine Sache, die wir wirklich lieben, wenn wir in einem Wohnmobil unterwegs sind, ist nicht zu wissen, wo Sie die nächste Nacht verbringen werden. Also haben wir einige Nächte an wirklich coolen Orten verbracht und mussten manchmal den Platz mit ziemlich ungewöhnlichen Reisenden teilen.

Zum Beispiel mit einem großen LKW voller Vieh. War ein bisschen laut und roch in dieser Nacht! 😂
