About 8 km north of Neuburg you get to the Schuttertal, whose history goes back 100,000 years. On the north side, a spur of white Jura pushes as an elevation in this valley. This mountain has been extensively studied and with 300,000 finds it is one of the best researched early settlements.

Etwa 8 km nördlich von Neuburg gelangt man in das Schuttertal, dessen Besidelungsgeschichte 100 000 Jahre zurückreicht. Auf der Nordseite schiebt sich ein Ausläufer des weißen Jura als Erhebung in dieses Tal. Dieser Berg wurde ausführlich untersucht und mit 300 000 Fundstücken zählt er zu den am besten erforschten frühen Siedlungen.
