Here is the second part of my visit to the Speckberg. The close-ups of the trees are among the best pictures I have ever taken. Now the consistent way of experimenting with the various RAW development programs pays off and the results are getting better and better.

With "Darktabel" I feel comfortable, it allows the creation of styles, which can then be placed on a series of photos. With smaller reproductions, images of a series are created which resemble each other in their colors. Some trickery is necessary in the sky. In the irregularly shaped backgrounds, the neutral density filters are only partially suitable and I have decided to rather exposing the photos to dark, in order to get them in the post-processing then controlled in the areas that I imagine.

My goal was to make the Speckberg with its trees and limestone formations appear in the light of long forgotten times. These timeless shots could now be used as promotional photos for trips into the past or as wall decorations.

Hier nun der zweite Teil von meinem Besuch am Speckberg. Die Großaufnahmen der Bäume zählen zu den besten Bildern die ich bisher gemacht habe. Nun zahlt sich der konsequente Weg des Experimentierens mit den verschiedenen RAW Entwicklungsprogrammen aus und die Ergebnisse werden immer besser.

Mit "Darktabel" fühle ich mich wohl, es erlaubt die Erstellung von Stilen, die dann auf eine Reihe von Fotos gelegt werden können. Mit kleineren Nachbearbeitungen entstehen so Bilder einer Serie die sich in ihren Farben ähneln. Etwas Trickserei ist beim Himmel aber dennoch nötig. Bei den unregelmäßig geformten Hintergründen sind die Neutraldichtefilter nur bedingt geeignet und ich habe mich entschieden die Fotos eher zu dunkel zu belichten, um sie bei der Nachbearbeitung dann kontrolliert in die Bereiche zu bekommen die ich mir vorstelle.

Mein Ziel war es den Speckberg mit seinen Bäumen und Kalkformationen im Licht längst vergessener Zeiten erscheinen zu lassen. Diese zeitlosen Aufnahmen könnten sich nun als Werbefotos für Ausflüge in die Vergangenheit oder als Wandschmuck benutzen lassen.
