#3 Tuesday Landscape Photography - Mount Fitz Roy in Argentina and Its Story 阿根廷烟雾山秋色

Happy Tuesday! Here is my entry for the #landscapephotography challenge hosted by @juliank.
I took this photo when hiking towards Cerro Fitz Roy mountain from the village El Chaltén in Argentina. It is one of my most unforgettable treks filled with epic views along the way. I love the color palette in the magic of beautiful fall foliage.
Cerro/Monte Fitz Roy is also known as Cerro Chaltén. "Chaltén" means smoking mountain in the local language of the nomadic hunters in Patagonia. Since the peak is covered by clouds most of the time, the natives believed it was a volcano.
El Chaltén is a charming village located in the Los Glaciares National Park, near the border between Argentina and Chile. It is surrounded by magnificent peaks and stunning glacial lakes. This location makes El Chaltén a popular base for hiking trails. So it is named Argentina's Trekking Capital. I feel it's a bit more quiet and peaceful hiking in this region than in the more well-known Torres del Paine national park in Chile.

这张照片是我在阿根廷菲茨罗伊山（烟雾山）地区徒步时拍的。我很喜欢徒步，这一次也是众多徒步中印象很深的一次，虽然来回走了一整天有点累，但是一路风景无敌，美不胜收。很庆幸选择在秋天时去那里，漫山红叶映衬着浅浅蓝绿色调的冰川雪山，仿若油画，随便一拍就像一张明信片！
烟雾山的名称来自当地游牧民族的语汇，由于山顶终年云雾缭绕，所以他们琢磨这大概是座火山吧。=)
烟雾山镇就在冰川国家公园里，离智利边境很近。因为周围的山峰和冰川湖太美，引来大批人以此为据点徒步，被誉为“阿根廷徒步之都”。我个人也觉得在这块地区远足的时候，周遭的环境相比有名的智利百内国家公园更为宁静。这里居民不多，几乎全靠旅游业为生，不是开民宿就是开小店，家家洋溢着艺术气氛，这也是阿根廷这个国家给我的印象，跟智利相比总体要文艺不少，也有可能是因为我在智利住过，而对阿根廷只是游客，所以没有深入了解而导致印象肤浅。

So, so awesome. And I'm glad to hear that there's a less crowded side. That sounds appealing. I assume there are designated campsites along the hike? Or huts?
