We are still here. Indigenous peoples, Indigenous lands.

Our fight for basic human rights continues. The goverment continues to encroach on indigenous lands, now the lands that we were forced onto after the best lands were stolen.

Now the people of the land find our selves in a situation where leadership is corrupt and has long since sold out.

The lands are not enough for the oppressive government. They also steal our children. Child separation is the definition of genocide. And the genocide is ongoing.

Still we stand. Fighting for basic human rights as if our lives depend on it. The wars which "ended" resulted in treaty law, treaty law that oppressive government ignores.

Poisoning our water, air and soil. Soft kills in silent wars.

Still we stand, fighting back against erasure, historical revisionists, fighting for the basic rights which are granted to immigrants but still denied to Indigenous peoples.

The fetishism of native women leads to our sisters, mothers, grandmothers and daughters being murdered at ten times the rate of any other race of woman.

Still, we stand allowing the blood of our ancestors to propel our survival, looking to our old ways and doing what is needed to preserve culture and language in the Old Way.
