Some Steemit tips for you Strad, because you are clearly just setting your channel up.
Promote Steemit on all your other channels - sure you're already doing it, but you will probably end up earning more on here than you did on youtube once you get your rep up. The more followers you bring with you the more people will upvote, follow and resteem your posts.
You reputation will go up from 25 very quickly at first as more people vote for your posts. The goal posts move though and every tick up in reputation gets more difficult, but it's important, so keep your eye on it.
I recommend you 'power up' and build up your steem power for the first few months, this will give you bigger voting power and more influence.
The community here is pretty friendly, not many trolls, so I'm sure you'll love it.
Don't ever ever ever lose or share your private keys - goes without saying really, but steemit is blockchain, so no central admin to recover your password. Copy them and store them in an encrypted file somewhere.
Hope that helped a bit, at the end of the day you are a master of social media already so you'll kill it dude!
