2026 Goals Update — Where I'm At Right Now

Figured it's a good time to check in on where I actually stand with my 2026 goals instead of just setting them at the start of the year and forgetting about them like most people do. Real talk time.

When the year started, I had this whole list — post more consistently on Steemit, get better at both my gaming content and the crypto stuff, build up more engagement, maybe even branch out into different content styles. Some of that's actually happening, some of it... not so much yet.

The consistency thing has actually been going pretty well if I'm honest. I've been way more regular with posting than I was last year. Doesn't mean every post is a banger, but I'm showing up more often, and that alone feels like progress. Half the battle with content creation is just not disappearing for weeks at a time.

Where I'm falling behind a bit is diversifying content. I keep gravitating back to the same gaming recap format because it's comfortable and it works. But I told myself I'd experiment more — different formats, maybe more crypto analysis posts, more personal stuff mixed in. Haven't pushed myself on that as much as I wanted to.

Engagement-wise, it's growing slowly but it's growing. Not blowing up overnight, but I'd rather have steady real growth than some fake spike that disappears. Every comment, every upvote from someone who actually reads the post means more to me than just watching numbers go up for the sake of it.

Money-wise — the play-to-earn side of things has been decent, nothing life changing, but it adds up. STEEM's been doing its usual unpredictable thing, so I'm just trying to stay level headed about it instead of panicking every time the price moves.

Biggest lesson so far this year honestly is that goals only mean something if you actually check in on them. It's easy to write a list in January and never look at it again. Doing this kind of update, even just for myself, keeps me honest about what's working and what I'm slacking on.

Rest of the year, I want to push harder on trying new content formats and stop playing it so safe. Comfort zone's nice but it's not where growth happens.
