Kurzweil delivers?

"Kurzweil’s predictions (AGI 2029, singularity 2045) seem completely reasonable now. A year ago if you told me that AI would be this good i would have laughed at you"

I'm starting to think Kurzweil may be too conservative in his estimates

AI as a term was coined in 1957 at Dartmouth.

The first for-profit AI companies started in the 1980s and the first of these to be publicly traded was IntelliCorp, founded by Prof. Ed Feigenbaum of Stanford, who was 40 years ahead of his time in envisioning that AI would be the basis for the wealth and strategic position of nations.

The current generation of AI products might seem brand new, but they build on theory and code built over the last 60 years. I’m very happy that I am alive to see the beginning…and, possibly, the end.
