The adventure continues...

Well, getting started with an alt coin exchange has proven to be a bit difficult. With the high number of people getting involved with cryptocurrencies, the major exchanges have stopped taking new members in order to catch up. I found two exchanges who are, and created accounts. The first is Kraken. Kraken is a US based exchange that has been around for a while. They were running into issues with scale, and just completed a major upgrade. They ran into some issues with upgrade, and while I was able to create an account, they are not yet verifying them so I cannot trade on it. This led me to another Exchange, KuCoin. KuCoin is a new exchange with a unique take on how they operate. You use their own coin as your 'savings', and earn a split of up to 90% of their trading fees as interest/dividends. Distribution is set up like pyramid sche... ah tiered marketing program, so if a friend signs up with your code, you get half of their trading fees. KuCoin also has one of the largest assortment of available currencies to trade (though no XRP?!?). Long story short, if you're looking to sign up with an exchange, use my referral codes!

I've moved half of my (.1) bitcoin from Coinbase to KuCoin to play with. With all coins being down so much today, I also picked up half an ETH in Coinbase. Baby Steps.
