WOW @tigerfish, I forget how great it is to visit Kruger. I remember my first trip as a 5 year old with my grandparents. In those days all hot water was generated by boilers and there was always a communal braai area (cooking area) with fires ... you even had to get your coffee boiled water there!
Yes It was actually much nicer in the old days, there was much more communication between visitors, like in the ablution block, one would hear all the day's stories about who saw what and all the close encounter experienced during the day. It was quite a lot of fun listening to other peoples stories.
Now days people keep more to themselves and the communal braais are a thing of the past.
