UP Chairman resigned citing personal reasons
Upazila Awami League General Secretary Harun Majumdar has resigned from the post of Anandpur Union Parishad Chairman of Fulgazi Upazila of Feni citing personal reasons. He submitted his resignation letter to Fulgazi upazila executive officer Tanya Bhuiya on Thursday (March 4).
UNO Tania Bhuiyan confirmed the resignation on Sunday (April 7) noon and said that Anandpur Union Parishad Chairman Harun Majumder has submitted his resignation due to personal reasons. We will take further action as per law.
However, according to a reliable source, he has resigned from the post of chairman of the Union Parishad to participate in the upcoming Fulgazi Upazila Parishad elections.
It is known that Harun Majumder, General Secretary of Upazila Awami League, was very active in the field recently to participate in the upazila parishad elections. Going to different areas and holding yard meetings with voters. He promoted the developmental activities of the government. Also, while addressing various meetings, he expressed his conviction to work for the people if he wins the Upazila Parishad elections.
In this regard, Harun Majumder said, I have submitted my resignation from the post of chairman of the union council. However, I will not make any comments about participating in the Upazila Parishad elections. I have some party and organizational issues.
According to the schedule announced by the Election Commission, the nomination papers can be submitted to the returning officer in the first phase of Fulgazi Upazila Parishad elections till April 15. Nomination papers will be selected on 17th April, last date for withdrawal is 22nd April. Voting on May 8.
