In Greek, narcissus means "striking" or "stunning". This bright spring flower is widespread. It is found in both Europe and Asia. It is believed that most daffodils originate from the Mediterranean basin, and some species come from China and Central Asia. There are only 60 varieties of daffodils, but there are also about 70 hybrid varieties.

Daffodils are early-flowering plants that bloom in spring in May. Their leaves and stems resemble leek arrows. Narcissus flowers are fragrant, located at the top of the stem and have white or golden edges. There is a small orange "crown" in the center of the flower. This crown is the main variety of narcissus, which comes in different shapes and colors (there are also yellow, white and bicolor flowers).
