MOOD OF LOVE IN SEPARATION FROM GOD

in #krishna6 years ago (edited)

Gaurahari Das prabhu is really on the cutting edge of Lord Chaitanya's sankirtana movement. I love what he is doing in Mayapur. His early morning sankirtan walks with his students is beautiful. His use of modern music for chanting the Mahamantra is great. It gets everyone dancing. Very nice.

If you can stop by Facebook he's live morning and evening from Mayapur India.

In the time of Lord Chaitanya there was not so much "cinema" music. For one thing there weren't any cinemas. and plays or performances were related to religious topics. I'm sure there were some common folks singing about mundane affairs. That is nothing new and has been around for a long time. But not like in the present age given all the technology for recording.

There must be a reason for all this accumulation. It can't be all bad and at least some of it must be able to be used for glorification of the Lord.

For one thing I notice some of the songs are really quite nice. Poetic and capture different moods. I see no reason to completely ignore them.

Simply by realizing that everything really is meant for Krishna's pleasure, these songs although composed with not a clear intention of pleasing the Lord are nonetheless pleasing to the Lord when they are seen as really being meant for Him.

This one and the performer if seen as really glorifying Krishna in His mood of separation as Lord Chaitanya is really quite nice.
