인디록 플레이리스트에서 최애곡을 골라보라고 누군가가 물어본다면, 개인적으로 이 곡은 꼭 포함시키고 싶습니다. ^^ 몽환적인 이펙트가 영상 곳곳에 들어간 개성있는 뮤직비디오는 둘째 치더라도, 듣자마자 귀에 꽂히는 듯한 Ryan Guldemond, Molly Guldemond의 개성있는보컬, 마이너 코드로 범벅(?)인 듯한 코드진행의 곡이지만, 곡을 신나게 만들어버리는 에너지 넘치는 드럼비트와 기타리프.. 곡 중반에 나오는 보컬들의 하모니.. 그리고 드럼&기타의 솔로파트.. 제가 좋아할만한 요소들을 너무나 많이 갖고 있는, 잘 만들어진 곡이라고 생각합니다. ^^

Mother Mother is a Canadian indie rock band based in Vancouver, British Columbia. The band consists of Ryan Guldemond on guitar and vocals, Molly Guldemond on vocals and keyboard, Jasmin Parkin on keyboard and vocals, Ali Siadat on drums, and Mike Young on bass. Longtime bassist Jeremy Page left the band in 2016.
In 2005, they independently released their self-titled debut album under the band name Mother. They later changed their name to Mother Mother, and re-released the album on Last Gang Records in 2007. Retitled Touch Up, the reissue also featured several new songs.
The band's second album, O My Heart, was released on September 16, 2008; their third album, Eureka, was released on March 15, 2011; their fourth album, The Sticks, was released on September 18, 2012; and their fifth album, Very Good Bad Thing was released on November 4, 2014, with an American release of April 7, 2015, on Def Jam Recordings. Their sixth album, No Culture, was released on February 10, 2017, with yet another Def Jam Recordings release in the US. The seventh and newest album, Dance and Cry was released November 2, 2018.

86년생인데.. 밴드 결성 및 활동을 2005년부터 시작했다니,
음악적 재능이 정말 대단한 뮤지션 같습니다. ^^
(목소리가 귀여운 Molly Guldmond와는 남매지간 입니다. ^^)
앨범들을 돌려 들어봐도, 전반적으로 잘 만들어진 곡들이 많은데,
인디록 밴드는 명성이나 대중적인 인기와는 아무래도 거리가 좀 있나봅니다.. 하지만 Mother Mother는 아직 젊은 팀이니, 앞으로 좋은 신곡발매 및 꾸준한 활동으로 좀 더 많은 리스너들에게 애정받는 밴드가 되었으면 좋겠습니다. ^^
같은 아티스트의, 다른 느낌의 곡을 한 곡 더 추천해드립니다. ^^
