스페인 세비야 구경하기2 / Seville Though My Eyes 2

오늘은 세비야 구경하기1에 이어 2탄을 준비했습니다.
오늘은 옛날 유대인들이 모여 살았던 세비야의 산타크루즈 지구와 이사벨라 다리, 메트로폴 파라솔에 대해 포스팅해볼까 합니다.

This is my second posting about Seville and if you haven't seen the first one, you can go to Seville Though My Eyes1 and get to know more about Seville! Today, I am going to write about Santa Cruz, Isabella II Bridge, and Metropol Parasol.

세비야의 산타크루즈 지구입니다. 옛날 유대인들이 모여살던 곳인데요. 무슬림으로부터 기독교인들이 세비야을 수복했을 때 기독교인들이 유대인들을 종교적으로 탄압하고 이곳에 모여살게 했었다네요. 산타크루즈 지구는 사진처럼 폭이 매우 좁은 길들로 이루어져있어 두 명이 겨우 지나갈 정도로 좁은 길들도 있습니다. 이런 길들이 미로처럼 얽혀있어 길을 잃기 매우매우 쉬운 곳입니다. 저도 여기서 길을 잃은 적이 많은데 한 가지 팁을 드리자면 마음을 비우고 한 방향으로만 꾸준히 가다보면 어디든 큰 길로 빠져나올 수 있게 된답니다:)

This is Santa Cruz which was the home of Jewish population under religious persecution in the 14th century. After Christian reconquested Seville, they segregated Jews and forced them to live in what is now Santa Cruz. Santa Cruz is made of narrow alleys and they form a labyrinth-it 's really easy to get lost.

산타 크루즈 지구 안에 있는 기념품 샵입니다. 플라멩고 옷과 부채, 타일 등을 팔고 있네요. 산타크루즈 지구 안의 기념품 샵들은 세비야 대성당 쪽에 있는 기념품 샵들보다 가격이 저렴하기 때문에 추천하는 곳입니다. 알카사르로 가는 길에 위치하고 있습니다.

A souvenir shop in Santa Cruz, selling lots of beautiful stuffs from flamenco dresses and fans to tiles. There are a few souvenir shops in Santa Cruz and I think they are cheaper than those near the Cathedral. I found this one in my way to Alcazar.

이사벨라II 다리입니다. 이사벨라II 다리 전에는 나무 보트들을 띄워 이어서 다리로 썼다고 하는데 그런 맥락에서 이사벨라다리는 처음으로 만들어진 견고한 다리인 것이죠. 이사벨라 다리는 트리아나의 중심부로 이어지는 다리이기 때문에 트리아나 다리라고도 불리는데요. 트리아나는 공예 체험으로도 유명하다고 하니 시간적 여유가 된다면 참여해보시는 것도 좋을 것 같습니다.

This is Isabella II Bridge also called the Bridge of Triana. This is the first solid iron bridge in Seville because they used to have floating wooden boats to form a bridge before this. Isabella II Bridge is also called the Bridge of Triana because it leads to the center of Triana. I heard Triana is famous for crafts and you can participate in one of their programs.

세비야의 메트로폴 파라솔입니다. 버섯 모양의 목조물인데 세비야 사람들은 그냥 "세타(버섯)"이라고 부르더군요. 입장료를 내면 올라가볼 수 있는데 입장료에 음료 한잔이 포함되어 있으니 올라가신다면 음료수를 마시며 여유롭게 전경을 감상해보시면 좋을 것 같습니다만 개인적으로 뷰가 구조물 날개에 가려 그렇게 추천할 만한 곳은 아닙니다.

This is Metropol Parasol. It is a wooden architecture and people of Seville just call it "seta(mushroom)" because it looks like one. You can buy tickets to go up and they give you a free drink if you go up and ask for one at the bar, but I personally don't recommend going up because the wings of the architecture blocks the view - there are better places to enjoy the view.

This is the view from Metropol Parasol. Do you see how the wing of the building is blocking the view in the botton of the picture?
