Hardcore Korean-Wave Fan!

It is no denying that K-pop and K-dramas are taking over our big screen these days. Many young people are becoming a fan of these dramas and musics. I, myself is also among those that become a fan. So for these few days, I would like to talk about a few of my all-time-favorite korean dramas.

1. Guardian: The Lonely and Great God (쓸쓸하고 찬란하神 – 도깨비; Sseulsseulhago Chanlanhasin - Dokkaebi). Literal translation : Goblin.

Synopsis:

• Kim Shin (Gong Yoo) is a goblin and protector of souls. He is the landlord of the grim reaper (Lee Dong-wook) who is in charge of taking deceased souls. Shin doesn't want immortality anymore but needs a human goblin's bride in order to end his long life. Meanwhile, Ji Eun-tak (Kim Go-eun) is a high school student who despite her painful reality, remains optimistic. She summons the goblin by chance and through various encounters, ends up falling in love with him. Sunny (Yoo In-na) is an owner of a chicken wing shop, a woman who is loved by all men. These four people's lives change when they encounter and their lives become entangled.-

Cast:

• Gong Yoo (공유) acted in the ever famous korean zombie apocalypse movie, Train To Busan.

• Kim Go Eun (김고은) acted in the drama Cheese In The Trap alongside Park Hae Jin. Goblin was the second drama she's ever acted in.

• Lee Dong Wook (이동욱) acted the dramas, Hotel King and Blade Man, before acting as the cold but funny grim reaper in Goblin.

• Yoo In Na (유인나) acted in the 2013 drama, My Love from the Star, alongside the famous Jun Ji Hyun and Kim Soo Hyun.

• Yook Sung Jae (육성재) is the youngest member of boy-group BTOB that debuted in 2012, under Cube Entertainment. Before acting in Goblin, he debuted as an actor with the famous 'School' series, "Who Are You: School 2015".

Korean dramas also have a habit of punching my emotions in the face with their Original Soundtrack. Even though I do not understand what the lyrics are saying, I can feel the emotions that they give out through those small clips of scenes that was going on while the soundtrack was playing in the background.

Goblin's Original Soundtrack included a lot of famous idol singers from famous idol groups such as EXO, SISTAR and solo artist Ailee.

This drama is really worth watching and the story line can really bring your emotions on a roller coaster ride. And the Original Soundtracks are really worth listening to as well. This drama is also my No. 1 favorite so far.
