In the movie, Raiders Of The Lost Ark, the people who tried to look inside the ark were struck dead. What was inside the ark that brought judgment to those who looked into it?
영화 레이더스(Raiders Of The Lost Ark 인디아나존스 나오는 영화)에서, 성궤의 안을 들여다 본 사람들은 다죽임을 다했습니다. 성궤안에는 무엇이 그들을 심판해서, 들여다 본 사람 전부를 죽게 했을까요?

The Bible tells us that the ark held the two tablets of the Ten Commandments, the pot of manna and Aaron’s rod. (Hebrews 9:4) The manna represented man’s rejection of God’s provision, and Aaron’s rod, man’s rejection of God’s appointed priesthood.
성경에서는 성궤안에 십계명이 적힌 두개의 돌판과, 만나를 담은 항아리 그리고 아론의 지팡이가 있다고 써있습니다. 만나는 하나님의 공급하심을 반항하는 상징 그리고 아론의 지팡이는 하나님이 정해준 제사장에 대한 인간의 반항을 상징합니다.

Hebrews 히브리서 9:4
금 향로와 사면을 금으로 싼 언약궤가 있고 그 안에 만나를 담은 금 항아리와 아론의 싹난 지팡이와 언약의돌판들이 있고

God did not want to look at these tokens of rebellion. He wanted to be merciful to His people, so He instructed them to place the items in the ark and to cover the ark with its mercy seat, which is also the place where the blood of the animal sacrifices was sprinkled.
하나님은 우리들이 이런 반항의 상징을 보는것을 원하지 않습니다. 하나님은 자신의 백성에게 은혜를 베풀기 원하십니다. 그래서 이런 물건들을 성궤에 넣고 뚜껑으로 덮으라고 명하셨습니다. 그 뚜껑을 은혜의 보좌(시온좌)라고 하는데 희생제물의 피를 그위에 뿌립니다.

Once a year on the Day of Atonement, the high priest would enter the Holy of Holies to sprinkle on the mercy seat the blood of the animal that had been sacrificed. The two cherubim on the mercy seat stood as guardians of God’s righteousness and holiness.
일년에 한번 속죄일이 되면, 대제사장이 지성소안으로 들어가서 은혜의 보좌 (셍궤의 뚜껑)에 희생제물의피를 뿌립니다. 그 뚜껑에는 천사가 둘이 하나님의 의와 거룩을 지키는 자같이 서있습니다.

Representing God’s eyes too, they looked at the blood on the mercy seat. As long as the blood was there, the entire nation of Israel was forgiven. God’s judgment passed over them and they were blessed for another year. (Leviticus 16)
은혜의 보좌(성궤의 뚜껑)은 하나님의 눈을 상징해서, 그 희생제물의 피를 바라보고 계시는 것도 상징합니다. 그 은혜의 보좌위에 피가 있으면, 이스라엘 백성을 모두 죄사함을 받은 것입니다. 하나님의 심판은 그 피를 보고 그냥 지나가고, 이스라엘 백성은 한해동안 축복을 받는 것입니다.

Leviticus레위기 16:34
이는 너희가 영원히 지킬 규례라 이스라엘 자손의 모든 죄를 위하여 일 년에 한 번 속죄할 것이니라 아론이여호와께서 모세에게 명령하신 대로 행하니라

Today, the blood sprinkled on the mercy seat is not the blood of bulls and goats, but the precious, eternal blood of the Son of God! (Hebrews 9:12) Jesus is our “mercy seat” for “He Himself is the propitiation for our sins, and not for ours only but also for the whole world”. The word “propitiation” in the original Greek text is the same word as “mercy seat”. (Romans 3:25, Hebrews 9:5)
오늘날, 은혜의 보좌 앞에 뿌려진 피는 염소와 송아지의 피가 아닙니다. 오직 하나님의 아들의 영원한 보혈입니다. 예수님이 바로 우리의 "은혜의 보좌" 입니다 왜냐하면 "예수님은 우리대신 속죄물이 뿐만 아니라, 온세상을 위한 속죄물이 되셨습니다" 여기서 "속죄물"은 헬라(그리스)원어 에서는 "은혜의 보좌"라는 뜻이기도 합니다.

Hebrews 히브리서 9:12
염소와 송아지의 피로 하지 아니하고 오직 자기의 피로 영원한 속죄를 이루사 단번에 성소에 들어가셨느니

Romans 로마서3:25
이 예수를 하나님이 그의 피로써 믿음으로 말미암는 화목제물로 세우셨으니 이는 하나님께서 길이 참으시는 중에 전에 지은 죄를 간과하심으로 자기의 의로우심을 나타내려 하심이니

Hebrews 히브리서 9:5
그 위에 속죄소를 덮는 영광의 그룹들이 있으니 이것들에 관하여는 이제 낱낱이 말할 수 없노라

Beloved, God does not see your sins and count them against you because He sees His Son’s blood. He sees His Son’s perfect work that has more than satisfied Him. God does not want you to see your sins either. He does not want you to look inside the ark by focusing on your sins. He wants you to focus on Christ and His finished work!
사랑하는 성도 여러분, 하나님은 당신의 죄를 보고거나 묻고 있지 않습니다. 왜냐하면 독생자 예수님의 피를보고 계시기 때문입니다. 하나님을 만족스럽게 하신, 독생자 예수님이 행하신 완벽한일 보고 계십니다. 그러므로 하나님은 당신이 스스로 자신의 죄를 보는것도 원하지 않으십니다. 당신이 죄에 촛점을 맞추어서, 법궤안을 들여 보기를 원치 않으십니다. 하나님은 당신이 예수님과 예수님이 다 이루신 일을 바라보기 원하십니다!

Don’t focus on your sins. Focus on Christ and His finished work.
당신의 죄에 초점을 맞추지 마세요. 그리스도와 그의 완성된 작품에 집중하라.
