#1. Travel for myself : Iceland Ring-Road travelogue [아이슬란드 링로드 여행기]

The trip to Iceland came to me all of sudden to the extent that I felt empty,

because I had postponed it.

I was busy at work, keeping Iceland tour in my mind. But I somehow booked a ticket to the Iceland.

Maybe friends of mine know what I say... the fact that most people make a journey on the spur of the moment.

As far as I knew at that time, Iceland has three characters; cold weather, high prices, and tough roads

I decided on supplies for the trip

A thick coat for the freezing temperature, and two weeks ' worth of food for the steep prices.

But, I didn't have any ideas what to do with the rough roads.

I couldn't give up because of my terrible driving skill though

I practiced driving briefly before traveling. And then I stuffed my foods into the one carrier and a thick coat another. Finally I boarded flight with all confidence.

Whenever I go abroad, I feel nothing first, but once the plane takes off, I 'm overwhelmed by anxiety and fear.

But that moment flies away from my mind, and I soon come to eat foods, watch movies, and fall asleep.
That is exactly who I am.

It takes 40 minutes by bus to get Reykajavik, a capital city of Iceland.

Tell the driver your place to stay in advance and he drops you off in front of it.

First thing that I did after unpacking my bag was to bring my rental car I booked.

I planned Ring Road tour, as I wanted to be closer to the great nature.
So I chose 4WD SUV that I had never driven before.

What a reckless confidence!

Check this out! There were a wide range of Korean cars! This baby will be in charge of my travel!

As soon as I took over it, I named it "boong boong i"

I,m so excited about the travel in this baby !

그동안 계속 미뤄온 시간이 허무할 정도로 아이슬란드 여행은 너무나 갑자기 찾아왔어.

매일 일에 치어 살아가면서 항상 마음속에만 담아두던 아이슬란드 비행기 티켓을
어느날 갑자기 예약해버린거야.

아마 이 글을 읽는 친구들도 알거야. 여행은 갑자기 마음이 동해 떠나게 된다는 사실을 : )

내가 아는 아이슬란드의 정보는
춥다 & 물가가 비싸다 &길이 험하다. 이 세 가지였어.
준비물은 정해졌지.

추우니까 두터운 외투. 물가가 비싸니까 2주간의 식량
하지만 험난한 도로는 막막하기만 하더라.
그래도 운전 때문에 포기 할 수는 없자나?

여행 전 간단한 운전 연습(진짜 며칠) 을 하고 캐리어 하나에는 식량을, 또 하나의 캐리어에는 두터운 외투를 넣고 자신감 가득한 모습으로 비행기에 올랐어.

항상 여행을 할때마다 느끼는거지만 출발전까지 아무 생각 없다가 비행기가 뜨는순간 걱정과 두려움도 함께 수면위로 올라오더라고.

하지만 그것도 잠시 기내식 냠냠 하면서 영화 한편 보고 쿨쿨 자니까 어느새 아이슬란드!
성격은 어쩔 수 없나봐 : )

여기서 공항리무진을 타고 약 40분을 가면 아이슬란드의 수도 Reykjavik 에 도착해.
미리 잡아둔 숙소를 기사님에게 알려주면 친절하게도 숙소 바로 앞에서 세워주시지

숙소에 짐을 풀고 제일 먼저 한 일은 미리 예약해둔 렌트카를 찾아오는거였어

난 링로드 계획을 갖고 있고, 기왕이면 좀더 대자연에 가까이 가고픈 마음에 한번도 몰아본적없는 4WD SUV를 선택했지!
이 무모한 자신감!!

짠! 한국차가 많더라고! 그나마 익숙한 이녀석이 앞으로 나의 여행을 책임질 녀석이야!

차를 받자마자 이녀석한테 이름을 지어줬어 붕붕이!

이녀석을 타고 떠날 여행이 너무 기대돼

2부에서는 본격적으로 여행을 떠나볼게! 기대해!
