in #kr7 years ago (edited)

First and foremost, the event has finished, Starcraft:REmastered is online in N-Korea! Here is the VOD of the opening ceremony.

Get ready to revisit the Brood War era, in a entirely new HD graphics, or play on Battle net fr free without a hassle, the original title has been free for some time all you need I suppose is to register with Battle.net

So long, Live.jpg let's revisit :)

Games were great, the ceremony was decent, props to the Korean for being such fans :)

The best games in my mind were Bisu vs Flash, Yellow vs Boxer and Reach vs NaDa.

Jaedong, Bisu and Flash concluded the pro-circuit with decent matchups, the Dong was a bit lackluster. Flash showed immense skill as always :) or is it that Terrans are OP :P Final game of the Evening was from Flash and Jaedong

Of course you can always visit the Blizzard twitch channel for Starcraft and find more new and interesting updates on tournaments, players, even if most of that is for SC:2 or go to where the best players go and visit Team Liquid for the latest gaming information updates, forums, and so much more.

With that out of the way, let's get back to the VOD
We caught up on a few years of history being revived for the modern widescreen era, the legends were all there duking it out for the Korean crowd, which I might add is quite large :)

In total there was the announcement ceremony and nine 1v1 matches from nine players. Some were retired, others returned to the game, some were working in the industry, tere are great stories around everyone if you'd like to learn more, there is Krrr the first professional foreigner player in Korea. TheBoy which is quite grown up now :). Boxer, Reach, NaDa, Yellow were all amazing players in their days, with amazing matches and roads to fame :) THere are great posts on Team Liquid for them and Brood War in general. The VOD does them great honor as well. The entire history is one of unbelievable success and the birth of an entire "sport" or "entertainment" although I don't share the same view of games.

Flash, Bisu and Jaedong all have huge rivalries between themselves and with other players. They are all active, Bisu streams, Flash is deemed a god and I'm not sure what Jaedong ha been doing. Since I don't follow the scene closely.

To recap the games.

two Protoss vs Zerg from Grrrr and TheB0y, Boxer vs Yellow TvZ :) who made two great games, well one and one pretty short one to tie the series up, followed by NaDa vs Reach who also finished 1:1 with awesome games, the second one being highlight with Protoss having a 100 supply lead after getting economically ahead from a hidden base, that even disrupted the map mechanics Terrans like to exploit :)

Now that we are in the modern era

First up Jaedong v Bisu on Eye of the Storm!!!
Bisu beat Jaedong, somewhat easily although the game was close for a while with a great attack from Jaedong that Bisu defended, all of his three bases were saved :)

Second Flash vs Bisu I'm betting Bisu out of spite :)
yeah Its wishful thinking but the game was close, a great macro late game with many fights all over the map multiple times.

Final game was the quickest too between Jaedong and Flash, it didn't reach the late game like the one before, it was basically Flash getting ahead and Jaedong getting bled slowly until he just saw he had nothing that he could do to come back from the losses he had sustained.

Pre order until the 12th of August and you can have these great skins :) or just download the original title which is free and you can play with your friends over battle net, you can even play remastered vs original :)

1:1 Grr vs The Boy
1:1 Boxer vs Yellow
1:1 Nada vs Reach
1 for Bisu vs Jaedong
1 for Flash vs Bisu
1 for Flash vs Jaedong

This concludes my Coverage of the event. I hope somebody reads this :) For now we have SC2 split into three parts. If there is somebody interested in that I have around 3-4 years of experience playing that game, some wins over GrandMasters and a total of a lot of games :) so if anyone is willing to learn or play RTS's please feel free to contact me, we can chat, we can learn, we can have fun!! For now I will be playing Path OF Exile and Brood War(I might get the remastered) as well as trading :) and Steeming, 3D is also on the list among some other things, like game development (for which I don't have a lot of time nowadays.)

Yup Dead game :D just joking,

En Taro Adun! :)

StarCraft 2. Zeratul. "My life for Aiur" in all languages.

Yup it's funny to hear life in so many languages. Also brings half a tear to my eyes, since they killed him, it's not even worth to pay for the LotV :D I'd rather leave everything there as untied knots. Maan the Starcraft cinematics were always very good.

Cheers

we have sc2, its how i got into pro-rts gameplay :) it's time for a revival, it's a bit lame that the second part flopped so hard(personal opinion) but this is flowing some game in my veins again :)

a PvZ from bisu and jaedong is about to start :)

I never got into games really.. I saw my brother spend so much time playing games .. it must be fun. :)
