*Correct me* STEEMS 2 : About my major-Korean medicine

Hello :), I' going to write about Korean medicine, which I major in.

However, what I am worried about is, because my college, Korean medicine could be little different from normal medical school. So the reader cannot understand what I'm saying, and may think it's weird.

Actually, it's true that Korean medicine is very different from that of the West. We, majoring in Korean medicine, treat our patients by acupunctures, or moxibustion and other things. The biggest theory, which these things are based on, is that the imbalance of our spirits(or energy, it will be easy to think it is similar concept of 'chacra' in Naruto) in the body make people be in abnormal states and illnesses. So we focus on balancing the energy of the whole body. It means to help our energy(spiritual) and the body(physical), to be harmonious. So we don't think like, 'I must need to treat his stomach cause he is sick of it'. But in lots of our treatments, we cure other parts too, including the sick one. Because all of energy in each parts are linked, and they give influences each other.

If, for example, you have an upset stomach, normally many doctors may give you digestive medicine. But we prick the upper side of the first knuckle of your thumb with a little big acupuncture, as you can see the darker blood, which means you are not in a good state. This way are little unique, but really effective way to instantly make you comfortable. Just pricking your thumb, can make an upset stomach much better because in the hand, thumb is the main part of controlling stomach. And interestingly, most of theories and treatments of Korean medicine are made in a law of nature, to be literally 'natural'. Therefore normally, they don't make any side effects, for we just help your body to be in a natural, normal state. This kind of thinkings could be very ridiculous to the normal doctor, and those people out of Korea.

A plenty of people may think Korean medicine, just abnormal study with odd theory and unscientific ways to cure patients. And maybe they can even think it's not medicine. However, we studied anatomy too, including biochemistry, microbiology or medical ethics like the Hippocratic oath, and etc. In fact, though the main theory is strange, we studied most of the basic medicinal knowledges too, which other medical students learn. But also, we learn Korean medicine, Herbal studies, all of the precise points to insert acupuncture, and the relations of every parts of the body, etc. So there are a few students in the college, of course in our univerysity, who do not accept these kinds of studies, hoping to learn only scientific western medicine, and leave the college. Some of others, out of Korean medicine, see them and can think 'oh, that study is not the right way, look, even they don't trust it and don't want to study'. I really really want to tell these people, that they quit just because it doesn't fit.

Frankly speaking as a person studying Korean medicine, this is really effective in treating the sick. And hope you have a chance to get the treatment of Korean medicine, or acupuncture, and know it's not useless.

Thanks for reading this writing. It's too emotionally written...! Sorry for that..!
