[Memo] Steemit killer U Network가 본 스팀잇의 가장 큰 취약점
백서를 읽다가 중요하고 의미있는 부분들을 메모해놓기 위해 씁니다.
That said, Steemit’s model has some weaknesses. Specifically, Steemit doesn’t charge users to upvote, leading to a tragedy of the commons outcome - the emergence of paid upvote bots . These are bots that authors can pay to mass upvote their content, artificially making it seem like many users have upvoted the content. If upvoting is supposed to be a way to rank higher quality content, then a system in which votes can be bought artificially will have a weaker content discovery mechanism, reducing value for the participants on the network
스팀잇 모델은 몇몇의 약점을 가지고 있다. 구체적으로 말해보자면 스팀잇은 업보트에 대한 대가를 치르지 않고, 이것은 공유지 비극의 문제(보팅봇의 문제)를 불러일으켰다. 이 봇들은 저자들이 대량 업보팅을 위해 지불 함으로써 사용할 수 있으며, 인공적으로 많은 유저들이 그들의 컨텐츠에 업보팅한것처럼 보이게 할 수 있다. 만약 업보팅이 높은 질의 컨텐츠의 순위를 매기는 시스템이라면 보팅이 인공적으로 판매될 수 있는 시스템은 네트워크의 참여자에 대한 가치를 줄이며, 보다 약한 하이 퀄리티 컨텐츠 발견 메카니즘을 갖고 있을 것이다.
내 개인적 생각
스팀잇은 잘못된 투표에 대해 치뤄야하는 대가가 전혀 없다. 따라서 보팅봇이 성행할 수 있는 것 같다.
앞으로 백서 읽을때 관점
U Network는 이러한 보팅 봇의 문제를 어떻게 해결할 것인가?
보팅에다가 대가를 지불한다는 것이면 소액 결제의 문제를 해결해야한다는 것인데 이를 어떻게 해결할 것인가?

R은 총 보상 C는 한번 보상하는데 들어가는 SUGAR의 양 N은 총 보팅을 받은 횟수 K는 보팅한 사람이 몇번쨰냐에 따라 달라지는 것.

제가 지금 uuu라는 곳의 새로운 보팅 방식을 읽고있는데
상당히 참신합니다. 셀프보팅 보팅봇의 문제를 아마 해결할수도 잇을것 같습니다.

About a month ago, I found that UUU (U Network) would go from $0.004 to $0.9 in a year. This was one of the biggest growths compared to other coins during this year. So, yes, I think the U Network will play a big role in social media; however, I am not sure as to HOW it will help Steemit.
As for voting bots, I think it would be difficult to stop them. I believe the only way to stop this would be that only ONE user can have ONE steemit account. You see, by having a second account, a witness can run his business. With this second account, the witness cannot vote for his fellow followers because it will weaken the vote power, which has to always to be above 80%. So one account is for voting friends, and the other account is for the bid bot business.
I think this is a controversial issue. Not good, not bad.
It depends on HOW the bid bot uses the earned money.
For example, Jerry Banfield's bot earned $100,000 USD in 6 months, but he will use a lot of that money for donation and helping Steemit become better. In fact, today is his LAST DAY for the bot!
However, other little bots don't even pay!!!! This is definitely abuse.
Sometimes, people are really really good at writing and need to be promoted out to the public for their talent. However, they do not have enough money or followers. This is so sad and unfortunate (=안타까운)
And sometimes, some people only do self-voting (a $60 vote and do not share or help the Steemit community flourish. So selfish.)
제가 봤을 때는 조건 하고 상황이 너무 많아서 이 문제를 해결하는 방법을 찾는 것은 쉬운 일이 아닐 거라고 생각합니다.
