The Promised Pastor and the One who Overcomes of the Old Testament and the New Testament

The promised pastor of the Old Testament was Jesus (Is 7:14), and he is the one who overcame the world and the devil (Jn 16:33). At that time, they only had the Old Testament and there were no New Testament scriptures. The New Testament scriptures existed after Jesus. Revelation is the book of prophecy which Apostle John recorded after receiving it in a vision while on the island of Patmos after Jesus ascended into heaven.

The one who overcomes is in Revelation 12 of the New Testament scriptures. As the one born of the woman clothed with the sun, moon, and stars, he fought and overcame the dragon's group. This child receives what was promised in Rv 2 and 3.

Every believer should remember and keep the words God gave to Moses (Dt 28). If you fight and overcome the enemy, you will receive everything; if you lose, you will lose everything. The condition to overcome is to keep the words of God and the covenant.

The promised pastor of the New Testament is the one who overcomes. He is the one who saw all the events of Revelation (Rv 22:8). He received the open book of Revelation 10 and is the one who proclaims it to every nation, people, language, and king. He is the messenger of Jesus who is sent to the churches (Rv 22:16). Also, he sent Jesus's letters to the seven churches to repent. He is the promised pastor of the New Testament who fought the enemy and overcame with the word of testimony and the blood of Jesus.

The pastor promised by God in the Old Testament was Jesus; and there is a pastor Jesus promised in the New Testament. According to the Old Testament, God came to and was with the promised pastor, Jesus. According to the New Testament, Jesus came to the promised pastor and fulfilled what was promised; the promised pastor saw what was fulfilled and testified accordingly. The promise is the fulfillment of the prophecies, and congregation members are meant to see and believe what has been fulfilled.

There is history, instruction, prophecy and fulfilment in the Bible. The Bible records the story of the Lord of Creation and Satan the betrayer. The Lord of Creation speaks the truth in order to make known the things of God; the devil speaks lies in order to make it seem like that which isn't his belongs to him. However, the 6,000-year war between God and Satan is recorded in the 66 books of the Bible; and God plans to win with the truth. As written in Deuteronomy 28, one can receive everything if one wins, but everything is taken away if one loses.

We, Shincheonji, have overcome with the blood of Jesus and the truth. Joshua overcame Canaan with a small number. Jesus, with a small number as well, overcame Jerusalem which became the world. And with a small number, today, we (Shincheonji) have overcome CCK which became the world. We have received the blessings promised in Revelation 2 ~ 3 as a result of the victory, and we have become the kingdom upon where God, heaven, and Jesus descend. This is the glory of victory.

In the Bible, there has been a promised pastor in every generation; God, who is spirit, comes to the promised pastor and instructs him. This is the same as when Jesus said, "My Father is always at His work to this very day, I too am working," and, "… the son can do only what he sees his Father doing," (Jn 5:17-20).

The pastor God promised through the Old Testament prophets was Jesus. The pastor Jesus promised in the New Testament is the one who overcomes, who fights and overcomes Satan's group. As a result of overcoming, God is able to take back everything that was lost and he reigns.

God was with Jesus. In the same way, because Jesus is with the one who overcomes, he can overcome. Also, as a result of Jesus fulfilling and showing things, the promised pastor is able to testify about what he has seen and heard. The new covenant was given so that people would believe this. Let us all go into the word and become the people of heaven. Amen.
