유니클로와 GU 브랜드를 소유한 일본의 Fast Retailing은 주요 원단 공장 리스트를 공개했다. 리스트에는 2018년 11월 30일 현재, 중국, 베트남, 방글라데시, 인도네시아, 타일랜드, 한국, 일본 등에 위치한 협력사들의 내역이 게시되어 있다.
Fast Retailing은 전세계적으로 의류 제조 현장의 인권과 환경 문제가 대두되는 상황에서, 이번 리스트 공개는 서플라이 체인의 투명성을 증진하고 노동 환경 개선을 위한 노력의 일환이라고 밝혔다. 동사는 2017년 유니클로와 GU 브랜드의 봉제 공장 리스트를 이미 공개한 바 있다.
