Kimchi (김치)
Kimchi is well know korean food. From long time ago(almost 2,000 years ago), kimchi was on the table at every Korean people. It is traditional side dish(Banchan) made from salted and fermented vegetable, mostly Korean Napa and Korean Radish. with variety of seasoning such as chili powder, garlic, ginger and so on. There are lots of varieties of kimchi made with different vegetables as the main ingredients

Naengmyeon (냉면)
Naengmyeon is cold noodle and eat summer time. Noodle made from from and starch of various ingredients, including buckwheat(메밀), Sweet potatoes starch, potato starch. Starch can control chewy tasty. Naengmyeon is usually two kinds. Pyongyang Naengmyeon(평양냉명) is noodle with cold stock. Stock is made from beef or chicken broth. Another one is Bibim naengmyeon(비빔냉면). It's not come with any stock. Just cold noodle and pickle radish, and spicy sauce(gochujang sauce 고추장). Naengmyeon is really great option for your lunch or after your korean BBQ dinner.

Japchae (잡채)

Japchae is sweet and savory dish of stir fried glass noodle(Dangmyeon - 잡채), and vegetable that is popular in korean cuisine. There are lots of Dangmyeon in Korean mart, but you never worry about it. All of Dangmyeon's taste is all same taste. There are no typical rule for cooking Japchae, but nomally the noodles are topped with assorted vegetable, meat, and mushrooms, and sesame oil

Bulgogi (불고기)

Bulgogi mean 'fire meat' liteally. 'Bul = fire' and 'gogi = meat'. It made with sliced thin beef with Korean barbecue sauce. Normally, Bulgogi mean Beef, but there is Pork bulgogi in South Korea. It's very popular in South Korea and you can find ubiquitous.

Haemul Pajeon (해물파전)

Pajeon is Korean pancake. Haemul mean Seafood. So, Haemul pajeon is Korean pancake with seafood. It is a Koran dish made from batter of eggs, wheat flour, scallions, and more vegetables. In Haemul Pajeon, you can find Squid, shrimp and small clam or oysters.

Gamjatang (감자탕)
Korean spicy soup made from neck bones of a Pig. Gamjatang often contains potatoes because 'Gamja = potato'. In South Korea, you can find lots of 24 hours Gamjatang restaurant. It's not restaurant. It's like Korean bistro. Korean people always eat with Gamjatang and Soju.

Samgyeopsal - (삼겹살 - Grilled pork belly)

Samgyeopsal is one of the signature dish in South Korean foods. Samgyeopsal is literal meaning 'three layer flesh'. referring to striations of lean meat and fat in the pork belly cut with the appearance of having three layers. It include ssam begetables such as lettuce, pickled radish, sliced pepper with ssamjang(made with seasoned mixture of chili paste and soy bean paste). When you grill it, you can grill with sliced garlic, onions, and Kimchi.

Jjajangmyeon (짜장면)
Jjajangmyeon is a Korean chinese noodle dish topped with a thick sauce made of chunjang, diced vegetables. Although, it origin from Northern Chinese, but Jjajangmyeon is thoroughly Korean food. Because of cheap price. It just come with sliced of 'Danmuji (Japanese pickled yellow radish).

Bibimbap (비빔밥)

Bibimbap means 'Mixed rice'. It is served as a bowl of warm white rice topped with namul(assorted vegetables) and gochujang(Korean chili paste). For decoration, there is one fried egg(usually over easy). Once you received bibimbap, you have to mix all together for enjoy.

Samgyetang (삼계탕 - ginseng chicken soup)

Samhye Tang is meaning 'ginseng = Sam' , 'Chicken=gye', 'Soup=tang'. It has whole young chicken filled with garlic, rice, jujube and ginseng. Samgetang is a warm soup for summer days. It is especially popular to eat this chicken soup on summer times.
