Yun Bong-Gil - Patriotic Ginseng Liquor Set 대한민국 만세주 세트

Another interesting Korean history post... perhaps I missed it, but does the producer of the liquor have much or anything to do with the freedom fighter? Or is it a marketing tie in?

It's a partnership with a charity recognized by the ministry of culture and agriculture to promote tradional products (ginseng is regulated by the government) and support the charity. 10000KRW or 20% of the price goes to the charity.

I actually don't know a whole lot about the charity, but I'm guessing it's legitimate and either social welfare for colonial victims, support for relatives of liberation fighters, or just educational.
I'm not sure if Yun Bong-Gil would approve or not. He didn't have children and I'm guessing anyone who is remotely related to him is happy. Maybe they get a free bottle?

Many years ago, I always enjoyed visiting S. Korea during my U.S. military career.

좋은 기사 감사합니다

Please Note: I don't speak Korean. I apologize if the above doesn't make sense. I used Google translate for "Thank you for the nice article".

May you and yours be well and love life today.

Oh, I didn't know you were in the army. Thank you kindly for your service.
Your Korean translation is fine. I understood what it means. The key is to avoid idioms and slang.

That was really interesting to read about Yoon Bong-Gil as i don't know much about a Korean History

Korea and Taiwan leadership were good friends back then. The Chinese government at that time actually really liked him and the current Chinese government thinks he is alright, too.

Looking behind the drink to understand it...... love the story , I wonder what it tastes like. Thursday I will be of to Ibiza and they have Hierbas I love it and will surely do a blog about it !

I thought the story was great, too. That's why I bought it. This drink tastes like soju and ginseng. I'm not sure what Hierbas is but I look forward to your blog and hope you enjoy your trip.

Great story @abitcoinskeptic, you're right freedom isn't always free. People lost their lives so that we are able to live free lives. Something to always be thankful for.

I think I read somewhere that nations are built on sacrifice.

Great story! I wonder how the drink tastes , it looks impressive with the ginseng inside:)

Thank you. The drink tastes like ginseng flavored soju.
