Our maple leaf is the only flag we know really and it must be some UN thing that makes for the other one? We don’t wave our flag quite as hard as our brothers to the south but I know we take our UN duties seriously and participate with pride.
Awesome historic post and walk through such a powerful monument.

I think the miltary flag didn't change until Justin's daddy or Torontobairport guy was PM. Could have been 1967 not entirely sure. Even Canada is older than its flag, that's certain.

Impressive. I wish that the same thing happened in Korea as it did in Germany in 1989. For me, the reunification that was considered impossible was a highlight of my life.

It wasn't really the USSR holding unification back in 1989. Simple to say the conditions for Korean unification didn't exist. However, things may be a little different now. The key determining factor is Chinese opinion but it is too difficult to gauge. They will tolerate more cooperation, but only to a certain point. I don't think they want unification and a democratic victory in Korea it would be too difficult to spin for their own country's situation. In other words, we are waiting for the PRC to drastically change.
Every now and then there seems to be a shimmer of hope that things will improve but then it's like one step forward two steps back. No one even know if there's still a time bomb ticking away ... ☹️

The issue of solving that problem is insanely complex. China and Russia are still deeply involved and the day those two start cooperating with the US will definitely be a good day for all people.
I've heard people say well Korea should just agree among themselves. Well a lot of them don't want to agree.
I tried to access the map with brave but couldn't. I will belatedly add it with chrome in a few hours.
