Communist is an ideology that was born Karl Marx, a philosopher as well as an economic and political expert. His understanding of communism became gossip. Because, Marx said that religion is an opiate for the community. How did communism come to Indonesia? Communist in Indonesia was born from the Islamic organization (SI) which was formed in 1912. From there, appeared left-wing figures, such as Semaun and Darsono. "From the ideas of social democracy gradually transformed into radical social democracy, Semaun and Darsono have always been opposition wings in the Islamic Shari'a," Mohammad Hatta quoted Bung Hatta Answering as saying. After five years, precisely 1917, was born the Indonesian Communist Party (PKI). However, the PKI's name has not been great since it was made secretly and became a leftist fraction in SI. Before establishing the PKI, Semaun and Darsono had received a communist education from Sneevlit in the Indische Social Demoratische Partij (ISDP). Sneevlit itself is known to be left wing inside the ISDP. From there, the two often discuss with Sneevlit. Both also see a gap in the SI, so slowly incorporate his ideologies. "The Syarikat of Islam, which is less concerned with the fate of the workers, has been a good vacancy for radical ideas entered by Semaun and Darsono previously inspired by Sneevlit," he explained. One of the SI figures, Haji Agus Salim, finally enforced party discipline. SI was renamed the Islamic Sharia Party in 1921. After that, then the official name of the PKI sticking out. However, Hatta continued, the communist party was not compact because one of its founders, Tan Malaka, formed the People's Party of Indonesia (PARI). "The new PKI is not compact, Tan Malaka then formed PARI," he explained. In its history in Indonesia, the PKI committed three rebellions. The first rebellion was in 1926. The rebellion was a failure and the PKI was crushed by the Dutch colonial government. Thousands were killed and about 13,000 people arrested. A total of 1,308 people, mostly party cadres, were sent to Boven Digul, a detention camp in Papua. Underground movement aroused the PKI until it became solid again. In 1948, the PKI launched a second rebellion. The rebellion intends to undermine RI and replace it with the communist state. This second attempt again failed. The literature records the third rebellion carried out in 1965, again failing.
