Buy the rumor, sell the news! It was not only announcement of fully decentralized ICO's using the Komodo Platform, but also a partnership with Monaize!
Fully decentralized ICO's are something completely new and hopefully Komodo team will pull it off. Ethereum also had the biggest price surge after the basket with all the ICO's on the ETH blockchain via the smart contracts opened!
Monaize is an e-banking platform and allegedly will be the first banking service to provide blockchain based products and services for their client base. Monaize will be launching the very first ICO on Komodo Platform before the end of this year.
PRICE AFTER THE ANNOUNCEMENT
In my honest opinion, the whole announcement could have been done better. These people are really amazing developers and caring about the technology, but it looks like the Komodo team is very small and even though they really understand what they are doing, they should have really hire some people to do the presentations and announcements for them.
If their whole presentation looked more classy I think it would actually put Komodo's market cap much higher. However, the presentation had really bad lighting, camera and even the microphone! It didn't really work out for them and the price of Komodo plummeted.
When Komodo will show some results later and maybe even put Agama wallet out of the beta, we could potentially see some very nice surge again. What is Komodo trying to achieve is astounding and the future looks promising!

They remind me of Antshares before it became Neo. Amazing devs, shitty marketing. Once Antshares rebranded to Neo it went to another level.

It's going to be okay after they show some results. :) Most people don't really understand the tech talk, but the announcement was big.
Not a very good job with the announcement at all. Looks like it was shot with vintage AV equipment from an underfunded high school . But, from a long term perspective, I'd much rather see funds spent on the development than marketing.
I feel like these people are amazing at what they are doing and they don't even care about the market cap. They just want to develop something great, which would then be used by many. I think the same thinking have Charlie Lee, the developer of Litecoin. I love him for that.

Well the presentation was bad and I actually didn't check the price for a while, but it looks like KOMODO is getting dumped so I would say now or even lower.

It seems to me they were victims of too many speculators interested only in the "buy the rumor, sell the news" strategy, as Komodo had a huge drop right before the announcement. They were also unlucky as their announcement came up just as the fake news about China banning Bitcoin came up and FUD turned all coins to red. The crappy camera issues didn't help. I think the announcement itself and the things they are trying to accomplish are rather interesting.
