Tuesday Kolam

Here is a Tuesday kolam (see previous description). You might notice that this one does not use the dots but radiates out from the center, free-hand. My teacher said this kolam is drawn on Tuesdays to honor the navagraha (planet) Chavai (Mars). It frees one from debts, poverty, illness and brakes the bonds of attachment. All good things to strive for on this July Fourth.
