Amazon rainforest 

The Amazon rainforest is the largest forest that grows in the tropical basin of the Amazon river. It produces more than 20% the world's oxygen supply. The Amazon river pushes so much water into the Atlantic ocean that,one can dip fresh water out of the ocean. The moist broad leaf forest that covers 7 million square kilometers, of which 5 million square kilometers are covered by the rainforest.

The rainforest include territory that belong to nine nations.almost 60% of the rainforest is contained within Brazil, followed by peru 13% and columbia with 10%. The volume of water in the amazon river is greater than the next eight largest rivers in the world combined. And three times the flow of rivers in United States.

The Amazon represents over half of the planet's remaining rainforest, more than one-third of all species in the world live in the Amazon rainforest. The forest was formed at least 55 million years ago.
