For other plants besides onion type I have never tried but there are some articles that say can for other plants, it never hurts to try something new thing.
Ya definitely not. I wonder if an orchid or vanilla would grow there?
I'm sure it can be because a banana tree is a good medium for being a host for other plants growing because banana trees have complete nutrients and have a lot of water content.
