Consumer culture in modernity.
In the philosophy of success converge certain ideas which give us to understand that such success is directly related to happiness and the realization of our short and long term objectives. Questioning whether the socioeconomic status really plays a fundamental role in our self-realization refers, since as mentioned by Gandhi and many other philosophers - happiness is in ourselves, being only revealed as a result of the practice and action of our affinities-.
That is why we sometimes ask ourselves, if I am really where I want to be or am I finally who I want to be? Certainly in life each action brings us closer to success or failure, failure being a clear consequence of our erratic decisions, which hinder the achievement of our objectives. This is where the importance of identifying behavior patterns harmful to us lies, since from one moment to another we can be immersed in activities that degenerate our desire for entrepreneurship and development, as a result of a false sense of routine comfort as a subordinate entity within of an organization.
Without a doubt, it is frightening as the vulgar ignores history, without even questioning the nature of their actions and the reason for them. In fact, in modern times, the average young person has become a great consumer of frivolous and misogynistic content, being an easy target for media manipulation and control strategies on certain markets.
It is known that a child is a blank paper open to writing in its passive facet, but nevertheless in its active facet is a sponge that absorbs all kinds of notions until it can exercise itself, the capacities of discernment and criticism, to delimit the thin line between right and wrong within subjective parameters, nurtured by a well-established ethical and moral formation, or otherwise, the lack of it.
Within the principles of freemasonry is imbued the empowerment of the fundamental pillars of society, presented thus by the ancient Greek philosophers, education, health and justice. Of course I do not belong to that organization, but nevertheless it seems an interesting fact to share with you today the importance of developing at an early age in an individual, certain capacities that guarantee in a certain way a return of benefits to society.
That is why I want to emphasize once again the importance of educating ourselves about the content we consume, since this content is manifested in the behavior and idiosyncrasy of the individual especially in infants, which consequently converges in the development of society as a way of feedback.
