For me going to restaurant each week is not at all a good choice as you are saying that by too much visits to restaurant even it is your favourite you may lose your taste because in restaurants for increasing test of food they use artificial flavours that are not in favour of human health and that's why ultimately after a lot of consuming food of restaurants you become habitual of consuming that artificial flavours and you don't give preference to these natural flavours.
I agree with you that home cooked and using natural ingredients smells, looks and tastes completely different from what is prepared in restaurants. It's the same for bakeries, all mixes, chemicals and it tastes the same.
