With regards to Protip #2, if the image doesn't require editing, one can use the Snipping tool in Windows. I find it slightly faster than taking a screenshot =)

    You are 100% correct.. I'm sort of a MS-Paint enthusiast but you can use anything that screen captures to clipboard for that method basically. :)
