Entry # 3 Productivity

Today, I almost forgot about my personal commitment to write something for the day. I remembered about it for a few times today but distractions almost won me over.

Instead of getting disappointed, I wanna choose being glad about some productive matters I had for the day. None of them are that grand enough to be ecstatic with, but a sense of accomplishment helps most especially when there are occasional, worrisome thoughts that plays in mind.

• I was able to pay one of my pending bills.
• My pet successfully laid an egg after almost a month of egg-laying irregularities.
• I was able to report 2 possible system glitches or hacking issue which I'm experiencing with a socmed app.
• I had a quick online catch-up with some colleagues.
• I am satisfied with some clothes I laundered before sunset.

As I am aware that I cannot address all pending items at once, I would rather console myself by accepting the fact that I can at least attend to one item at a time, whichever is within my means at the moment. Such mindset helps a lot from overwhelming feelings - tomorrow is another day but for the moment, I also deserve my rest time whenever I am feeling the need for it.

How to determine when to rest while having the momentum of accomplishig tasks? By being kind to oneself, listening to the body if not proactive about it.

Another factor in attaining some peace of mind is the balance on how things are handled. Too much anticipation creates paranoia while less attention leads to compromise. Either of which can escalate to dangerous situation so when accomplishing things, being earnest while at it leads to satisfaction and not overdoing it.

Moreover, it also helps if there is a room set for imperfections along the process unless the task is under extreme conditions such as life and death situation.

And now that it's beginning to feel like coming up with some self-help tips instead of my supposed casual chatter for the day, I gotta dim the lights NOW so my chicken pet can finally have a better sleep time for the night.

Yes, we are staying in one room together so I can comfort her in case she gets nightmares. Sounds like another topic that I am about to tackle so good night for now!
