"KILL THE PAD" CHALLENGE WEEK #14 ~ Addiction

This is actually the 4th time I have written a 16 for one of these challenges but it's the first time I felt it was at least half decent enough for me to post here haha.
I really like the concept of having a topic to write to as it will sometimes push you out of your comfort zone, and typically get you away from what you may typically write about.
There is nothing worse than writer's block so I think this is a great exercise to keep the pencil game sharp!
Huge shoutout to @jamesgetsit for putting this together every week. I could not think of a better host for it on here as I am consistently thoroughly impressed with the bars he brings to all of his own songs.

There was a kind of neat thing that came out of the process of writing this 16.
When I started writing it I went through a couple of my beats and nothing was sticking out, so I quickly decided to make a beat for it to write to.
I thought it would end up being something simple, perhaps a bassline and some drums with maybe a little bit of a melody if I was lucky. Instead, it turned into a full-fledged song that I really like.
I am not quite done with the beat yet so here's a snippet of it, maybe you can get an idea of how I was rapping along to it in my head as I wrote it haha.
