Kill the Pad Challenge Week 12 : He persisted

A few tricks up his sleeve and his wit on the go
He preps himself for another show, if he ain't with it, well then he'll know

Thats the only way to grow, or at least that's what he was taught,
And sure enough, that motto always got him on top
no matter how distraught he ever got

Yes, He still wears a few bruises from his past mistakes
But he doesn't fret, he figures since they came bearing countless lessons,
he can't wind up 6 feet under before he counts a few millions

And he puts all his stakes on that, he won't flinch
No he won't bat an eye, matter of fact his senses
start to itch when it's time to dance with risk,
And you won't believe it but he gets butt hurt when the soundtrack comes to a halt

Persistance is all he knows; that's just how he deals
Life will always throw curve balls; trying to send you tumblin down the hill
And it's ok ...you can let defeat show and give yourself time to heal

But right after the time out..It's back to the grind
Before the clock on your youth runs out,
Before that fear paralyses you and grinds you from inside out,
Remaining idle can only be a plot against one's survival

So once again he picks up the mic; ready to get the crowd spiked and show his mojo remains unscathed;
He still remembers when he had stage fright; when he still shook seeing the strobe lights,
But mans never gave up, mans persisted
And now they scream encore when down rolls the curtains
