Pakistan's gas explosion killed 16 workers in collapse collapse Nine people have been injured.
The accident happened on Saturday in Marwar area, 45 kilometers east of Quetta, the capital of Baluchistan province, rich in oil and gas resources. Quetta district has borders with Iran and Afghanistan.

Jawaid Shahwani, a senior government official in Quetta, told AFP that the explosion was due to methane gas accumulated in the mines and the way out of the roof collapsed. For this reason, the workers were trapped inside.
Shahwani said, "There were 25 workers working in the blast during the blasts. The injured workers were taken to Quattro Medical College Hospital. Two of them are in critical condition. We are trying our best to rescue corpses buried in the mines. '

Meanwhile, two workers were killed in another collapsed soil collapse in Sur-rang area, about 60 kilometers east of Quetta. Mine is operated by Pakistan Mineral Development Corporation. During the accident, seven people were working.
