Behind Black

Behind those black lipsticks, lies rose-colored lips.
First time I've seen them it almost gave me the creeps.
Wonder how they taste like, wonder what I have to give
To get a taste of those lips, every battle I would concede.

Behind those black eyeshadows, lies a beautiful pair of eyes.
Staring into my soul, I surely could keep no lies.
Sparkling like the stars, on a cold dark night.
A day can't be completed without those eyes in sight.

Behind those black rocker's shirt lies a skin China-smooth.
Even a silk or porcelain would be no match for it, just to boot.
Caressing, I could do it all day long without getting bored.
No obligations or distractions, they're all ignored.

But just like most things, nothing is permanent.
The only difference is you went away early, it was imminent.
Now all I can do is remember those qualities of yours.
Behind that black casket as they close those casket doors.
