The Dalmatian tortoise - Killerpix contest #21 : Reptiles 🐍
It was a sunny April day and this young fella went for a walk. I took the camera and some modern storage device :) to catch his size.
This is baby Hermann's tortoise or more precisely The Dalmatian tortoise (Testudo hermanni hercegovinensis). Once considered as subspecies of Hermann's tortoise, now it is demoted to a geographical variant of the eastern subspecies. Photo is taken in Dalmatian inland.
