KillerPix Contest #42 - FIBER ART
These are the two entries for the #killerpix contest. This week the theme is FIBER ART. The original post is embedded here.
The origin of this photo goes all the way to Wales. It has been a visit to one of the museums, where they display the loom. I am always fascinated to see the old looms and can spend ages looking at them in admiration. You see, I have obtained an education in the textile engineering and so it is a topic I know a lot about.
Here in this photo, I captured the thread pattern in a "freestyle", although some tension still exists thanks to the weight attached to every thread. It turned out rather abstract.

Walking down the streets of Maastricht in the Netherlands, we have come across this artistic take on the accessories for the bicycle. It has been a deco I presume for the knitting shop. In fact, many shops had some unique decorations, such as bags filled with flowers hanging in front of the entrance to the shop with bags, for example.

Great photos @rimicane, the first was particularly interesting, I looked at it for a good moment 😉
Thank you! I agree! I love this image for that reason.
Cool...nice click...
Thank you!
Great photos. I really like the close up of the loom. I agree it takes on a life of its own as abstract art.
Thank you!
Awesome Work!

This cycle is so charming, it has a little vintage or retro feeling. Love it so much, nice decoration!
Thank you! Someone put a lot of effort into the knitting!
That is so cool. I've never seem a bike frame looking so cozy.
Thank you! Time to make your own deco!
