Read the article and I agree. Current browsers are vulnerable, especially when not updated or when plug-ins are used and even without them there is a risk. The idea behind decentralized web security is good however it will increase complexity and add some other potential weaknesses. I'd rather see proper 2nd or 3rd factor auth, hardware keys and etc. It makes me feel much more secure in terms of my private keys. Thing is that even distributed data can be compromised when keys are stolen. In general my impression is that we are still moving security rather than solving security. But definitely there is a place for such an applications.

The tree (chain) of trust can probably solve that.

Thanks for the reference, yes, it looks good. It gives at least some confidence to a common user. As it's a whole new process, there will be hacking attempts around it too, though (social engineering but at least you'll be able to fight for your account somehow).
