4/ When they say that boys don’t cry and are compared with girls

This parental behavior is dangerous for several reasons.

First, it makes the boy feel emotionally constrained. He starts to think that the natural emotions he feels are something that needs to be hidden.
Second, it causes a misconception about themselves and other people. “If boys don’t cry but I cry, it means something is wrong with me.”
Third, when we condemn them and say, “You behave like a girl”, we plant the idea in the kid’s head that being a girl is shameful and that women are worse than men. Today, when the entire world is actively fighting sexism, these beliefs can do a disservice to your son.
