23rd of February - A day of Motherland Defender in Kindergarten "Swallow"
On the 23rd of February in Russia we celebrate a day of Motherland Defender.
Originally during USSR period this holiday was called Red Army Day. This is a men's day. Women celebrate men and give them presents. We have then 8th of March called International Women Day. And it is very convenient for men to have their holiday before women's day, as if you don't receive a present for the 23rd of February from some girl or woman you don't need to spend your money for the present to her on the 8th of March.
Anyway, we had this wonderful holiday celebration party in kindergarten "Swallow" which attends our son who is 4,7 now.
You can watch our son Daniil marching fourth in the row. He was in a pilot group while there were also sailors and girls were nurseries. He seemed to enjoy the parade even more than other kids, being proud to be a young pilot he sings soldier song and march professionally. Truly Future Motherland Defender!
I am proud of you my little son!

It is impossible for a good father not to love his son. I feel the same about both of my sons and daughters.
We don't celebrate any holidays here in Merica. We just have a small party on our children’s birthday. Our families are far from us so it is just us. Today the weather is getting warmer and the older children are playing outside.
Are you allowed to homeschool your children in Russia?
Yes we have the homeschool education system here too. Though very few people use it.
I am glad you have warming so your kids can go play outside. We have so severe frosts here for a week already, its unusually cold for this time here. Temperature is currently -13 Celsius and windy.
What is Merica? I thought it is the name for the area where you live, but trying to search google maps for it I got nothing except for the shorten variant of aMerica.
Merica is short for uS. We live in Oklahoma
I love that word ,you used on your son that you are proud of him@johnstone
Thank you for coming by @julistar!
Can we call you Vladimir or were you joking on that post. Its ok for us to call you what ever you prefer?
My born given name is Ivan, you can call me Ivan, if you want, or John as an English variant of this name.
I chose John because I didn't want to cause any national negative associations to those people who still watch a lot of TV in the west.
But please don't call me Vladimir!))
That post was my fantasy if our president decided to join steemit, so he would need to put a beard for no one to recognize him.
lol My wife told me after you responded to her.
I will just call you John. Dont worry most Americans know the Government and Media is full of shit.
