What exactly KHAJURAHO offers to tourist...!

Khajuraho is well known for its temple, which is in Chhtarpur, MadhyaPradesh, India. Originally it had 85 temples but with the passage of time hardly 25 temples have survived. These temples were built in 950-1050 AD by Chandela Dynasty. Chandela Dynasty is well known in Bundelkhand Region and Khajuraho used to be the capital of Chandela Dynasty.

Now coming to the core theme of the post, that is what exactly it offers to tourist across the globe to pay a visit to Khajuraho, i have seen many people particularly across the wrold, when planning for a tour to India, they basically choose Varanasi followed by Khajuraho, Of course both these places are near to each other and both these places have got Airports, making the tour convenient. But the main theme, what exactly Khajuraho offers ?

I think the famous erotic sculptures of the temples of Khajuraho is the main theme of attraction. In my own sense of understanding i think these erotic sculptures are really a gift to the world, representing a pageant to life, to love, to joy, and most importantly perfect to execution and sublime in expression. Life in every form and mood has been captured in stone.

When i look at those imprints over stone, i really used to admire those people who have given a fine touch to the ultimate execution. We may be quoting this point on 21st century, but if you really have close look at these sculptures, then you will really agree with me that they are true magicians, they are truly scientific, they are truely natural, and they have paved the way for the human society.

Because of these wonderful, mesmerizing and lively sculptures, UNESCO designated KHAJURAHO as world heritage site in 1986, and i must believe it deserved to be World Heritage Site. i must believe that its not about the archeological and monumental importance of this place but the the kind of message the sculptures delivers is absolutely nostalgic, joyous, ecstatic to human life. Dont you think the people during those days are more romantic and lovable than the people in 21st century and i must believe Chandela Dynasty must be a romantic dynasty.

I believe that the sculptures painted over stone, not only testifies the craftsman's artistry but also the extra ordinary breadth of vision for the rich and powerful Chandela Dynasty under which the rules of temples were conceived and constructed. Moreover the temples built over these period were slightly different from the conventional temples. It is really not possible to express khajuraho in words, rather it can be experienced with full of joy and with a mood to live the life to the fullest.
