Sugar is used in many products in America.

If you are looking to eat healthy, live a healthy life, even if your not living a Keto lifestyle sugar is a big part of the process of changing the way we eat.
Sugar can create weight gain, heart disease, diabetes, cancer, depression, and other issues.

The American Heart Association research shows men should not consume more than 150 calories per day or 37.5 grams, and women should not consume more than 100 calories per day or 25 grams.

So what can replace sugar is a good question.

My wife Annie and I have taken some time to research alternatives to sugar.

There a few products that you can use: stevia, xylitol, erythritol, yacon syrup, sucralose, and monk fruit sweetener.

You can also use:

Natural sugars like maple syrup, molasses, and honey are less harmful than regular sugar and even have health benefits.

If you are on a low carb or keto lifestyle avoid the following:

maltodextrin, honey, coconut honey, maple, agave, or dates.

WHAT IS SUGAR ALCOHOL?

Sugar alcohols are organic compounds, typically derived from sugars, containing one hydroxyl group attached to each carbon atom. Sugar Alcohol has less calories and research has shown is has a less affect on blood sugar less. Also sugar alcohol has less effect on tooth decay.

WHAT ARE ADDED SUGARS?

Added sugars include sugars added in the processing of foods. Added sugars show on the ingredients including listed any other sugar in the food.

In closing there is a huge issue with Sugar in America if you are changing your eating habits and living a healthy lifestyle watching your sugar intake,
