Kenya, Odinga and the Mob of Ignominy

It is a fundamental right to express displeasure at the government and its system. There are set guidelines to achieve that end, for the continuance of civility in association. But, there cannot be an hybrid of law and chaos; that’s destined to frail. The same way a terror-mob guised as public appeal to expose the frailty of the system will fail.
For Odinga, his loss was a maneuver in the system stemming from the person of his opponent, the incumbent President, Uhrru Kenyatta. He has alleged his failures on the frailty of the system, just as he did in 2007 with over 1000 lives lost and 600,000 displaced. Perhaps his accusations are true and the system was upturned, the ransom price should not be that of 1,200 lives, in fact he should concede and not incite a war if his drive is patriotism.
Maybe experience has failed to depict anarchy to him, or he has failed to learn from experience, Kenya is not a guinea pig for his distortion and salinity. He is the man against strong institutions, recommended by Obama, ploughing through anarchy to achieve order. This tactic is dire for civility and development. We have seen it around the world (in Syria and Iraq) and had a fair share of its sinister trappings, it is anarchy. The mob established to topple civil governance and cause rancor in the society, for the sake of order, deigns the cardinals of democracy because the foundation is ignoble.
Rather than front the senile dreams of one man, why not recognize his weak intentions and anchor on the instrument of the law. A man ready to breakdown law and order to achieve his end remain an anarchist regardless of the façade he advances. It will be equally unreasonable to allow another man’s dereliction impair your sense of right and wrong, so that when you express displeasure it is from a lawful point. Torches, bullets and bombs will just repeat the cycle of bloodshed.

While I have not attested to the credibility of Kenyatta’s win, if 73 years odinga reckons that the elections were rigged, he should contest that in a court of law. His action to create instability will only endorse claims of his heinous character. A former Kenyan electoral officer accused by Odinga of electoral malpractices was found tortured to death days before the election. This has created a cloud of suspicion around Odinga and his supporters, a suspicion recent chains of event seem to accredit. His bloody thirst for power is therefore not nationalistic, it is terroristic.
Kenyans must see through his deception before it destroys the country. The polls should direct him to the justice system. He does not need to be declared president to serve his country well, and that he should do within the whims of legal direction. Peace, stability and development depend on this.
