The carabiner key ring reminded me of my Mum and she kept her keys with a napkin pin.
She lived like 8 apartments away. So when she visited or when she took the kids down to the playground, she only needed her keys and her lift tag. So she'd pin it to her dress haha.

Yes! A pin would work well! Nice that your mom lived so close to you. I am sure your kids miss her.
