Never before has any president pursued a comedian for their social commentary. Yet this is what comedians do.
No one batted an eyelash when Obama was depicted as being hung KKK style, with watermelon, burned in effigy. But when a woman does the same thing for the other party suddenly it’s a horrible thing.
Kathy Griffin is being unfairly punished because of her work & utilizing her freedom of speech given to her by the constitution of the United States 🇺🇸. If you love your country, your rights, it’s important to be free to exercise them.

Being from Canada I can't help but notice the crack head politicians you have. KG was just taking an opposing stance to Trump, who by the way has several investigations ongoing & has broken his oath of office & the constitution several times. (Among other things) In addition he wasn't elected into office by the American people. He was picked by the electoral college even though Hillary won the election by 3 million votes. So no he's not my POTUS. He's just rich enough to buy the position & make it a global laughingstock.

CNN is known as the Clinton News Network to everyone who isn't 'indoctrinated' into their cult, as I'll now assume that you are. Their bias in the election was nauseating from an outsider's perspective. I'm a political junky, I watched all the primary and final debates. I actually had to tune into Fox News (vomit) to try to get a clearer picture of what was going on down there.
I'm not a fan of our politicians up here either. Right now they seem more concerned with virtue signalling than actually running our country, but at least almost no one goes to prison for non-violent crimes in Canada. I think we can be proud of that. As for crack, that was one nutcase Mayor in Toronto who played the same populist card that got Trump elected. Some people vote for entertainment - you know that now, to be sure.
I'm no fan of Trump, he's a bastard, but the DNC fucked themselves and fucked your nation over by pushing the most hated nominee in history down everyone's throats. Sander's would have won those battleground states that Trump won, he kicked Clinton's ass in those states, but they decided to rig it for Queen Hillary. Blame your corrupt party for this mess. Also blame them for the Project Veritas videos, where DNC officials were caught on film talking about sending agents of violence to Trump rallies and taking bribes.
And sorry, he is your POTUS. Your elections are not based on popular vote, they are based on electoral districts, and for good reason. Agricultural districts may not be full of tons of people, but a country still needs to grow food. That's just how it works. We have a similar system here, but will have a referendum soon in my province to hopefully implement a more proportional system. We actually have three parties in this province and what is called a "Minority Government" right now, so it is very exciting and change is in the air. Federally, it is pretty disappointing right now, because I voted on the promise of electoral reform and the fuckers backed out. So I'm pretty pissed about our government too.
If Clinton had played the game properly, she probably could have won, but she was a horrible strategist. She thought she had it all tied up and was more concerned about padding the popular vote to give her guaranteed win even more legitimacy. She campaigned hard in states where she already had tons of support instead of focusing on the battlegrounds. Her campaign was a train wreck.

Trump is horrible, but you don't do what Kathy did and expect to keep your job at a news network. I don't even know what she did at CNN, but her antics showed such a clear bias that you have no business being in that building. News is supposed to be free of bias, though we both know that's not the case, they have to maintain the illusion. You may think that everyone hates Trump, but the majority of STATES voted for him. He won quite handily, because he knew how the system worked, and he won close to half of the popular vote. So what Kathy did was not some unanimously supported act. We have the electoral college because in the 1700's it was too hard for people to travel into town to vote. So we signed over our voting power to others who are supposed to cast their vote based on the opinion of their citizenry. But they didn't do their job. That being said we can vote out the usefulness of the electoral college & just count the votes.
What does KG do at CNN? She commented on the going on of the New Years parties, parades etc. Not really "reporting". Then again I don't think any "News" channel hires "journalists" they hire commentators, because they're cheaper. That being said, who doesn't have opinions? When every other "news" channel expresss opinion favoring the Republican Party & knowing Democratic opinion is hushed & contracted for 1 appearance. Yes KG should have expected to be fired.
